This page explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the SAR.net early-access waitlist or ask to partner with us. It is short because we collect very little.

Who runs this
SAR.net is a command platform for search and rescue teams, now in development. This site and its waitlist are run by the SAR.net team. You can reach us at contact@sar.net.
What we collect
Only what you type into the form, plus two details added automatically:
- Your name, email address, role and country, and your organization if you give one.
- Whether you joined the waitlist or asked to partner with us.
- If you ask to partner with us, the message you write about your team.
- The language your browser is set to, if it is sent with the form.
- When you first signed up, and when you last updated your details.
We do not store your IP address, details about your browser or device, or any cookie. To stop automated abuse, the network address your request comes from is used to count how many sign-ups it sends per minute; we do not keep it.
Why
To contact you about early access to SAR.net, to send occasional updates as we build, and, if you asked to partner with us, to reply to your request. We use it for nothing else.
Where it is kept
Your details are stored in a database (Cloudflare D1) in the SAR.net Cloudflare account. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes the data on our behalf as our host.
If you ask to partner with us, your request is also emailed to the SAR.net team's inbox, so we can reply quickly. That copy is in addition to the database.
Who can see it
Only the SAR.net team. We never sell your details or share them with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until early access opens and we have contacted you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your details
Email contact@sar.net from the address you signed up with and tell us what you would like: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will do it and confirm. Sending the form again with the same email address also updates your details rather than adding a second entry.
No tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from sar.net itself, so your browser loads nothing from other services.
Changes
If this changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
